BTS have been an active group for approximately 5 years. This has brought along many award nominations as well as many wins. 2013 until present (May 2018) they have received 147 award nominations (Wikipedia). Not only in South Korea but also in Europe, North and South America as well as many other Asian countries showing their large amount of success worldwide (Wikipedia). Among these 147 nominations they have won 79 of the awards (Wikipedia). In South Korea they also have Music Programs. The equivalence of what 2000s MTV was to North America, a platform that plays music videos and live performances. At these Music Programs in South Korea there will be multiple groups performing and at the end one will win an award. BTS has accumulated 33 awards from these music showns (Wikipedia). This added to awards won through nomination at actual awards shows, BTS have won 112 (Wikipedia). Just keep in mind some of these nominations are pending so this award number could possibly be raising in the near future!
